Match your swimsuit to your body shape
There are generally six types of body shapes.
Summer, beach, swimming... all of them, you will put on your swimsuit. In addition to choosing the shapes and colors that you like, to enhance your figure it is essential to know which cut of one-piece swimsuit or bikini will best highlight your body shape.
Since every woman is unique, her swimsuit must be flawless, hiding small flaws and highlighting the assets of each body!
There are basically six body types. If you know yours, it will be easy to acquire the perfect beach outfit to feel irresistible.
A-shaped silhouette:
Narrow shoulders, slim bust, defined waist with rather round hips and buttocks. The ideal is to draw attention to the bust and refine the legs. With a push-up top, a bandeau or underwired triangles for more voluptuousness, the effect is sensual. Straps are also an asset, giving a more readable geometry to your slim build. For the bottom, or the cut of a one-piece, dare to go for low-cut cuts; on the other hand, avoid string bottoms, ruffles or horizontal stripes that flatten the profile. (Aurélie model)
V-shaped silhouette:
Broad shoulders , ultra-removed hips and buttocks. You have to highlight the legs and refine the build. On top, deep necklines or triangles with thin straps to tie at the neck are perfect. For the bottom, shorts are suitable, as are low-waisted swimming briefs. On the bottom of a swimsuit or a one-piece shape, lacing, knots, horizontal stripes will highlight your curves. On the other hand, avoid the bralette cut which accentuates the sporty side of broad shoulders. The bustier also draws the eye to the bust. No too versatile swimming briefs: dare to be original! H-shaped silhouette:
Shoulders and hips aligned . The waist is barely or not at all marked. The idea is to refine the waist, to show off the natural curves. For the top, the push-up, the balconette or the padded triangle attached at the nape of the neck, highlight the chest. At the bottom, the retro style, high waist, is totally suitable. It will draw a very sexy hip line. The one-piece with straps is also essential. On the other hand, no bra shape that masculinizes the silhouette too much. (Louane model)
X-shaped silhouette:
With a body like that... it's an incredible opportunity that is offered to you! The shoulders and hips are broad in a balanced way. The waist is thin. Luscious, dreamy measurements... which allow all shapes of one-piece swimsuit or bikini. However, be aware that shorty shorts will highlight a flat stomach, and swimsuit bottoms with a low-cut cut will accentuate the length of the legs. (Maya model)
8 silhouette
A bit like the X morphology, but with rounded shoulders and hips . The waist remains thin. Often this type of body is accompanied by a generous chest. Opt for the triangle or balcony top for the pigeon effect. But without padding. For the bottom, a low-cut cut is totally suitable; you can allow yourself knots on the sides, subtle lacing along the ribs on a one-piece shape. What will not be suitable is the two-piece with a bandeau top. Ditto for a bustier one-piece. Too oriented on the shoulders. But the other shapes with asymmetrical straps, with cutouts on the hips like a fake trikini, are perfect. (Jenna model)
O-shaped silhouette
Rather narrow shoulders, and rounded lower body. The waist is not marked. The idea is to give volume to the upper body while softening the hips. Triangle top tied at the neck, low-waisted swimsuit bottoms that emphasize the line of the iliac bones. For a one-piece, openwork cuts on the sides can be very elegant. On the other hand, we absolutely avoid high-waisted bottoms that would weigh down the silhouette. (Maggie model)
