Why start yoga and meditation?

In a world where everything is accelerating, it is essential to create bubbles of tranquility . Yoga and meditation are complementary practices that allow you to:

  • Better manage stress and anxiety

  • Develop your flexibility and soft strength

  • Improve your breathing and posture

  • Gain concentration and energy

  • Reconnect with your body with kindness

This isn't a performance, nor an obligation. It's an invitation to slow down and fully inhabit the present moment.

How to get started? Our gentle and gradual advice

Don't worry, you don't need complex equipment, experience, or long sessions to get started. The important thing is to progress at your own pace , with curiosity and gentleness.

1. Create a little cocoon at home

Choose a cozy space , preferably well-lit, where you feel comfortable. Unfold your mat (or a large towel), light a candle, and put on a soothing playlist . This routine will support you as you develop your practice.

2. Start with 10 to 15 minutes a day

There's no need to dive into an hour of intense yoga right away. A gentle flow (like a sun salutation ) or a 10-minute guided meditation session will lay the foundation. Remember, consistency is more important than duration !

3. Wear an outfit that makes you feel good

At Luz, our bras , leggings and sweatshirts are designed to allow freedom of movement , to support without pressure and to make you feel both beautiful and comfortable in every position . Being comfortable in your clothes allows you to better focus on your feelings and the movements of your body!

4. Choose the practice that suits you

There are as many styles of yoga as there are personalities:

  • Hatha for a slow rhythm and awareness of the breath

  • Vinyasa for a fluid and energizing sequence

  • Yin for deep relaxation of tension

  • Mindfulness meditation to calm the mind

Try out several approaches and stick with the one that feels good to you.

And what about breathing in all this?

Yoga and meditation are closely linked to breathing , which is the main element. It reconnects you to yourself , to the present moment, to your essence.

A simple exercise to start with:

  • Inhale deeply through your nose for 4 seconds

  • Hold your breath for 2 seconds

  • Exhale gently for 6 seconds

  • Repeat 5 to 10 times with your eyes closed

In just a few minutes, your heart rate slows and your thoughts calm. A real mini-reset.
